Shivam is a dedicated and passionate music artist and instructor, specializing in Hindustani classical vocal music and harmonium. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Hindustani Vocal from the Faculty of Music, University of Delhi, he holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music (Hindustani Vocal) from Ramjas College, Delhi University. With over eight years of rigorous training under the esteemed Pandit Rajnish Mishra of the Banaras Gharana, Shivam has developed a deep understanding of traditional gayaki, raga presentation, and classical compositions. His musical journey also includes extensive harmonium training, having begun under Amandeep Singh ji at a young age and later advancing under the guidance of Dr. Ashique Kumar, where he honed his skills in both solo performance and accompaniment.
As a committed music educator, Shivam has been actively teaching students across a wide age range through online and home tuition formats. He specializes in Hindustani classical vocal music and harmonium, designing customized lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs while fostering a supportive and engaging environment. His strong command over music theory, notation, and performance techniques enables him to teach at both academic and professional levels.
In addition to his musical expertise, Shivam is also trained in Kathak from the Jaipur Gharana, reflecting his well-rounded grounding in Indian classical arts. He has demonstrated leadership as the General Secretary of the Navras Classical Dance Society at Ramjas College, where he played a key role in choreography, training, and organizing performances. He has actively participated in and directed performances at prestigious platforms such as the Darshan Event at Ramjas College, the G20 Summit 2024, and NAAC 2024. With a clear career objective to contribute to institutions that value tradition, creativity, and excellence, Shivam continues to dedicate himself to preserving and promoting Indian classical music through both teaching and performance.
