Bivakar Choudhury is a brilliant performer with a precise sense of rhythm and beats on his Tabla. Born in a middle class family at Karimganj, Assam, on 23 rd March, 1979. He started to play Tabla when he was only 10 under the guidance of Shri Sridam Chakraborty. He joined the school Paramananda Sangeet Vidyalaya, where he practiced and learnt Tabla under the guidance of Soumya Bhusan and Nirmalya Bosu and attained for himself a good level of being expert of the instrument by acquiring the degree: Vishard, from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. He performed as a Tabla Accompanist with a number of well-known artists like Pt. A. T. Kanon, Vidhushi Niva Gupta (Violine), Padma Bhushan Pt Debu Choudhury, Shri Prateek Choudhury, Bhajan Samrat Shri Anup Jalota, Gramy awarde Dana Leaong (Cello Player) and many more. He is indeed an upcoming artist who maintains the styles of four different Gharanas: Punjab, Farukhabad, Banaras and Delhi.
