Anurekha Ghosh is one of the finest internationally acclaimed award-winningIndian Classical Kathak dancers. Her journey of kathak dance started when she was just Four-and-a-half years old as she started specializing in Lucknow Gharana at such an early age. She has shown her excellence in Choreography be it in the classical or contemporary genre. She is not only trained in kathak but also keeps a keen interest in Western contemporary dance, Ballet, Yoga, Kalaripayattu (a South Indian Martial Arts), vocal music and has also received extensive training in all the above mentioned genres. She has performed in major theatres and festivals across the globe in countries including USA, Canada, Europe, India, estonia, Japan among others and received some prominent awards such as Asian women Achievement Awards , The Lisa Ullman Scholarship for Dance and Movement, the Best choreographer for The Place Choreodrome at The Place Dance Theatre UK, Nritya Shiromani, Naatyasaaradhi, Natya Damru, Nritha Vilasini, REX KARMAVEER fellowship from ICONGO instituted by the United Nations, Amravati award, and Padmavati award to name a few.
