Ankita Kaushik started her training in Bharatnatyam at the age of 8 years under Ms. Deepika Gupta, disciple of Padmabhushan awardee Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan. She went on for further training under the tutelage of Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan herself. She did her arangetram in July 2010 and since then she has been learning, teaching and performing Bharatnatyam. She has performed all over India and abroad with her Guru. She is also a senior faculty member at her gurus institution, Ganesa Natyalaya since 2013. Apart from that she also teaches in Gurgaon, Haryana, Jaipur and Rajasthan. She was a Sahitya Kala Parishad Scholarship recipient for the year 2017-2019. Being an active promoter of arts, she has conducted several workshops. She is also associated with explorers who conduct educational programs for schools in India and abroad. Being a promoter of Bharatnatyam, she has conducted programs as a Program Director with explorers at Gurgaon branch. Ankita has been interested in management and admin work. She has assisted her Guru in many dance festivals including Global Heritage Series, World Cultural Festival headed by Sri Sri Ravishankar ji and Nritta AkhandaNrityam 24 hour non-stop Bharatnatyam. Being one of the principal dancers of Ganesa Natyalaya, she has assisted in all the annual functions and many other programs in India and abroad.
