Vinay Tiwari is a Bharatanatyam artist, teacher, choreographer, interviewer and dance photographer from New Delhi. He is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan ji. He is the seventh male student to learn in Guru-Shishya Parampara under Guru Saroja ji in her more than 50 years of expanded career. He performed his Arangetram under his Guru and it was marked as her 300th Arangetram. Vinay is a graded artist from Doordarshan and the first artist to achieve grade in Bharatnatyam from his district. He has also worked in several regional cinemas. He holds the world record for Shivaargya, the worlds largest all-male classical dance relay. Recently, he performed virtually at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi on Independence Day ceremony. He is also a gold medalist in an annual dance competition at Bhatkhande Music Institute. He has participated in Guru Sarojas big dance productions such as Namamey Gange, Yashodhara (wife of Budha), Swachh Bharat, Ramayana and many more. From past four years he has been performing in National and International dance festivals, like World Culture Festival, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsava, Taj Mahotsava, Ramayana International Dance Festival, Kumbh Mela and many more. Vinay started his Bharatanatyam training at Bhatkhande Music Institute - Deemed University (Lucknow) and he also did a Visharad diploma in folk dances of India from Bhatkhande Vidhyapith. In the year 2016, he started distance learning with Guru Dr. Saroja ji at Ganesa Natyalaya Classical Art Center Delhi. Then in 2018 after completing his diploma from university he moved to Delhi for higher education in Bharatanatyam at Ganesa Natyalaya under the guidance of Guru Saroja ji in Guru-Shishya Parampara. Being a young artist, it is very important to educate yourself to survive in society. This is why he completed his Master's in Sociology. As a result, he took the initiative to spread awareness in society. He works to educate people about gender equality, transgender rights and the importance of education in the field of dance. To educate people he has produced and taken interviews with legendary and senior artists which is part of his YouTube series.
