Swati Athmanathan is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, Choreographer and teacher. She has been a senior disciple of the renowned Padma Bhushan Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar and Smt. Jaya Chandrasekhar for the past decade. She received her training under the guidance of her grandfather, Late Prof. K.V. Krishnan from Banaras Hindu University's Faculty of Performing Arts. She has completed her Master's in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras. Swati has completed the Nrityasali Karana course under Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam and has performed in numerous prestigious dance and music festivals across India. She is a Graded Artist by Doordarshan and has served as the Manager of ABHAI (Association of Bharatanatyam Artists of India) in Chennai. Swati has received numerous awards "Hall of Fame" by Live4You Red Carpet Awards, the "Best Organizer" award for Bandish Arts, and numerous other accolades such as "Natya Sigaram Virudhu," "Nritya Nipuna," "Natya Ratna," and "Panchamritam Mohini Kala Samman." Swati has also showcased her talent in various solo and duet performances, thematic productions, and recitals, both in India and internationally. Her television and media work includes productions, interviews, and hosting roles on channels like Makkal Kural, Trinity Mirror, Sri Sankara TV, and DD Podhigai, highlighting her versatility and dedication to promoting arts and culture. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natya at Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science in Chennai.
