Sudarshan Sahoo is a renowned Odissi dancer committed to preserving and promoting the classical art form. He began his journey as a dancer at the age of 15 under the tutelage of Guru Naba Kishore Mishra Later he received extensive training from renowned gurus such as Padmashree Gangadhar Pradhan, Guru Bichitrananda Swain, Padmashree Dr. Aruna Mohanty, and Guru Ramesh Chandra Jena. A Nrutya Acharya graduate from Orissa Dance Academy and a Senior Diploma holder from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, he is an Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) Doordarshan Grade Artist. Sudarshan's career spans nearly two decades, during which he has trained students at prestigious institutions like the Orissa Dance Academy, Nakshyatra Gurukul in Bhubaneswar, and the Utshav Ranjana Dance Academy in Delhi. His performances have graced major festivals across India and internationally, including the Commonwealth Games, Kalidas Samaroh, and the International Odissi Dance Festival. He has also represented Indian culture abroad through ICCR tours to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Russia, and several other countries. He continues to share his knowledge and passion for Odissi dance with the younger generation. His choreographic works, including Ganesh Vandana, Bho Shambhu, and Shree Krushna Raasa, reflect his deep understanding and creative expression within the Odissi tradition.
