Subhasish Acharya is an Odissi Dancer from Kolkata. He is a student and disciple of Shri Argha Chatterjee (Kolkata). He has completed his Masters degree in Performing Arts (Odissi Dance) from Reva University, Bengaluru. He received his preliminary training in Odissi Dance from Gurukul Academy Kolkata under the able guidance of Smt. Sutapa Talukdar. He is awarded with the Bharat Nrithya Thilakam in ‘Naveen Kalakar’. He has performed in several dance festivals such as Barabati Festival, Ujjayant Dance Festival, International Odissi Dance Festival, Delhi International Arts Festival, and Nrutya Madhuram International Dance among others. He has worked as an assistant choreographer of dance ballets ‘Vahan Gativilas’ and ‘Paarvana’ of Gurukul academy. Subhasish also learned Bharatnatyam under the guidance of Guru Thankamani Kutty and successfully completed his ‘Visharad’ in Bharatnatyam from Sarba Bharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad.
