Sonali Mohanty is a dedicated Odissi classical dancer and performer with years of rigorous training in the traditional art form. She began learning Odissi at the age of seven under Guru Bharat Charan Giri at the National Music Association (NMA), Cuttack, and later continued her training under Guru Meera Das at Gunjan Dance Academy. She is currently honing her skills under the esteemed guidance of Guru Madhulita Mohapatra at Nrityantar Academy of Performing Arts, Bangalore. Sonali holds a Master's degree in Performing Arts from Sri Sri University and is a graded artist of Doordarshan. She has represented Odissi through a number of notable solo and group performances at prestigious cultural festivals and dance events across India, including the Konark Festival, Mukteshwara Festival, Odissi International Festival, Indian International Dance Festival, Taj Mahotsav, Dhauli Kalinga Festival, and Vasanthotsava. As a member of the renowned Nrityantar Ensemble, she has also participated in several acclaimed group productions, showcasing the beauty and depth of Odissi to diverse audiences. With a strong foundation in classical dance, she remains committed to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Odissi through her performances and continued artistic pursuit.
