Sneha Venkataramani is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. She has received training in this art form from the age of six under the tutelage of the world-renowned dance Guru, Padmashree Guru Dr Saroja Vaidyanathan in Delhi. She has been performing in lead roles in choreographic presentations of her guru, including Aaru Padai Veedu, Krishna Arpanam, Rudram and Pradosham to name a few. She has also accompanied her guru in various Lecture-Demonstrations, workshops, and dance-dramas. She completed her Arangetram along with her sister, Snigdha Venkataramani in the year 1998. Sneha has performed widely in India and abroad and has won awards and accolades. She has assisted her guru in choreography of group and solo dances in various schools and colleges. Sneha had been imparting dance education and training since 2001 and had been a faculty member at the Ganesa Natyalaya, New Delhi for 11 years. She has also imparted advanced training in Bharatanatyam to professional dancers. She has also been a faculty member at the Indira Nagar Sangeetha Sabha. She presently runs her own dance school, the Laya Dhwani Academy of Performing Arts (India Chapter) in Babusapalya, Bangalore. Sneha has also received training in Carnatic music for several years. She is proficient in Nattuvangam and has accompanied her guru and other students of Ganesa Natyalaya as well as professional dancers as a Nattuvanar. Sneha has also undergone intensive training in several other disciplines of dance including salsa, jazz and tango. Sneha is an advocate by qualification and is working as an independent legal consultant for various companies in Bangalore. She wishes to achieve the all-round combination of an accomplished dancer and an equally acclaimed advocate. Snehas list of awards is long and includes the national scholarship for dance by the Center for Cultural Resources and Training, Government of India, New Delhi, the state scholarship for dance from Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi, the title of 'NATYASHREE' in the Year 1999, which was presented by the Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dikshit, the title of 'KALASHREE' in the Year 2004, a Gold Medal for Dance in the International Delphic Games held at Kuching, Malaysia, in September 2005. She has been a part of the faculty for dance at the prestigious Indira Nagar Sangeetha Sabha, Bangalore, from 2014-2016.
