Ruchi started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of four under the keen tutelage of (late) Guru Smt. Sujata Dinesh in the Pandanallur style. After acquiring the basic knowledge of this dance form at Rukmini Devi Lalit Kala Kendra, she went on to complete the Sangeet Visharad Sampoorna from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh with a distinction in 2004. She took training under the guidance of legendary Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan (Padma Bhushan) in the Thanjavur style of Bharatanatyam. She received Kalashree from Ganesha Natyalaya and the National Scholarship Award, HRD, from the Government of India. She is an empanelled artiste with the Indian World Cultural Forum as well as a member of the prestigious organization Abhai (Chennai). She has performed in European countries under the auspices of ICCR. Ruchi performs in various cities of India and has displayed her dancing talents at events such as the Sri Shankar Lal Concert Hall Golden Jubilee Celebration, The Gaiety Theatre, The National Youth Festival and many other prominent events.
