Born in a musical family from Bhopal, Roman Das started learning music from early childhood. After his initial training from parents, he then learnt Indian Classical Khayal Vocal of Kirana and Patiala Gharanas. He also learnt Tabla under the able guidance of Pandit Virendra Malviya of Farukhabaad Gharana. Later he got an opportunity to learn under the Legendary Pandashri Gundecha Brothers. Currently he is learning under Pandit Bipolab Bhattacharya of Banaras and Lucknow Gharanas and is also learning Carnatic Taal from Vidwan Dr.S. Ghatam Kartick.
