Rakesh Behera has been working as an accompanist for Padma Vibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia at Gurukul Bhubaneswar. He has also worked as a print media designer in Satyam groups & amp as well as Santony Signs, Bhubaneswar. He is a winner of the Orissa Sangeet Natak Akdemi BBSR Instrumental music competition in 2007. He also won the Cuttack Preliminary round of AIR music competition for three years in a row. He participated in the Dibyajyoti Smruti Sanskruti Pitha competition along with the C.V. Raman Fortune Science college Music competition and the Sangeet Milon Award among others.
