Ragini Nagar is a performing artist with a specialization in Indian classical dance and has been doing it for more than 19 years. She has performed in prestigious Nationally and Internationally acclaimed Dance and Music Festivals. Started learning dancing at the age of 7, under the guidance of Dr. Ragini Makkhar, Act Nadyog a school of Kathak dance for 8 years. She Professionally trained under Stalwart master of Kathak Guru Shama Bhate for 8 years, and renowned percussion (tabla) musician Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. Achieved distinction in the sixth-year exam (Madhyama Purna) from the reputed Gandharv school of arts. worked and learned with guest theatre artists and senior dancers of different dance styles such as Modern, Contemporary, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Ballet, Chhau, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Mohiniyattam. She also learn theatre, Light and Sound workshops under renowned actors and artists at Pune University. Ragini started performing professionally at the age of 11. She comes from a family of artists father and grandfather being professional painters, Her forte is to combine theatrical elements in dancing and performances and applied theatre techniques while creating a piece with a focus on minute details and finishing tasks based on quality rather than quantity.
