Priya Srinivasan is an Indian classical Bharatanatyam dancer. She got trained under Guru Leela Samson and later went on to pursue dance at Kalakshetra, the College of Fine Arts in Chennai, Tamil-Nadu. She completed her post-graduation from Kalakshetra in dance under many senior gurus and during those years travelled extensively with the repertory company. She learnt all aspects of dance including stage lighting, sound, aesthetics, and costume design. Priya was a member of the Kalakshetra troupe in their numerous dance dramas. As a soloist Priya has given many performances in India and abroad. She has conducted several workshops and lectures in various schools and colleges for children. Priya has compered for many dance festivals including the Khajuraho Dance Festival in February 2012. Priya has acted in several documentary films and has been part of a music video of Bharat Bala Production sung by Lata Mangeshkar ji. She has been part of the committee responsible for developing the CBSE's curriculum in the performing arts (dance). At present, she is on the board of CBSE for curriculum development. She has been on the ECA selection committee for classical and folk dance categories for Delhi University admission. Priya was involved in teaching classical dance at Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra from 2011-2017. She was appointed co-professor for teaching dance at Ashoka University for 3 semesters. Priya is trained in Carnatic Vocal music and has composed music for her own choreographies. She is trained in the skill of nattuvangam for dance. She has been running her own dance school in New Delhi since 2011. She is an empanelled artist of ICCR. She was a recipient of the Ministry of Culture Scholarship for advanced training in dance and learnt the nuances of Abhinaya under Guru Bragha Bassel. She is the founder and director of her dance company Trikayaa Dance Foundation.
