Pooja Pithambaran is a Delhi-based Bharatanatyam dancer and a graduate from Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal. Pooja started her dance training at an early age of 6 under Guru A. Sivadasan, Sree Nrityalaya, where she was trained for Mohiniyattam as well. She continues her training in Bharatanatyam under the able tutelage of renowned Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan (Ganesa Natyalaya). She was selected to represent at Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland) by University of Delhi. She has been a part of the Nritya Akhand Nrittam (NAN) for setting the Asia record of Bharatanatyam (27 hours non-stop). She is a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor trophy by the Lieutenant Governor Sh. Anil Baijal for her cultural and academic excellence. She has staged several platforms of repute in India as well as abroad, to name a few: Several shows for 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in Parliament, South Block, IIC (2022), Taj Bharathi (2022), Bharati 100, Parliament of India (2021), Delhi International Arts Festival, Delhi (2018), Commonwealth Games, Delhi (2010) and various other eminent stages of Sangeeth Natak Academy, Ministry of Culture, Sahitya Kala Parishad etc. across India. She is a faculty at Ganesa Natyalaya. She has also performed in various group choreographies of Dr Saroja Vaidyanathan such as Pradosham, Namami Gange, Yashodhara, Swachch Bharat and among others.
