Partha Mandal is a young and promising artist of Kathak dance. He is the son of Shri Rabindra Nath Mandal and Mrs. Sabita Rani Mandal. Partha Mandal started learning Kathak Dance at the very tender age of 5 years under the guidance of his brother Shri Rakesh Mandal and his gurus Smt Namita, Smt Moromi Medhi and Bipul Chandra Das. In Kathak Kendra he got his education from Guru Pt. Krishna Mohan Mishra, the son of Pt. Shambhu Maharaj and Pt. Jai Krishan Maharaj and legend Pt. Birju Maharaj. He later on started working there as an Instructor. He attended a number of valuable workshops conducted by Guru Saswati Sen, Guru Surrender Saikya and a great legend in Kathak dance - Pt. Birju Maharaj. Partha Mandal passed Nipun in kathak dance from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidhyapeeth, Lucknow. He received several awards such as Sahitya Samman and Sahitya Mandal. Holi Ke Rang, Shakti, Bhoomi, Aasaan Nahi Hoga Dagar are some of the pieces choreographed by him.
