A child prodigy in Kathak, Nikita Singh has been learning the art form since a tender age. She first started her training under the guidance of Smt. Juthika Dey and went on to learn from Guru Samiksha Sharma Arun, Kathak Faculty, National Institute of Kathak Dance, Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. She has done her graduation in Kathak and has trained in Rabindra Nritya from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She has done M.A. in Kathak from Raja Mansingh Tomar Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior. Some of her prestigious performances include the ones at Ghat Sandhya, Varanasi, Sanskar Bharti, Surchhandam, U.P, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Swar Sangeet Group. She has performed all over India as a soloist and a repertory member of the Gurukul Kathak Kendra. She has also done certification in Jazz from the Danceworx Academy and presently teaches Kathak to children at Gurukul Kathak Kendra. She is a scholarship holder from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and a B grade artist with the National Television channel of India, Doordarshan. Professional Experience: In 2016, she performed in the Anugoonj Festival, Ujjain and the Nav Varsh Mahotsav at Greater Noida. In 2017, she performed for the M.P. Tourism, Bhopal, Rajasthan Mahotsav, Jaipur and ICT Gwalior, Gwalior. Her performances in 2018 include Fag Mahotsav, Jaipur, Subh-E-Banaras, Varanasi, Deep Utsav, Noida Haat, Noida, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi, Gandhi Smriti Rajghat, New Delhi, Vijay Mahotsav, Greater Noida, Sanskar Bharti, New Delhi and the Kala Utsav, IP Extension, New Delhi. In 2019, she performed solo at the Swareet Mahotsav on World Dance Day in Delhi, the Udan Youth Fest, New Delhi, Noida Sanskriti Mahotsav, Noida and Jashn-Sham-E-Kathak, Lucknow.
