Munmun Singh is a dedicated Odissi performer belonging to the revered Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra gharana. Deeply fascinated by the rhythm, mudras, and traditional aesthetics of Odissi from a young age, her early curiosity evolved into a lifelong passion and spiritual journey. Munmun began her initial training under Guru Shri Kishore Kumar Mohanty, which continued for a decade, and later refined her skills under the rigorous guidance of Guru Meera Das for seven years. A recipient of the "Nritya Bhaskar" title and a holder of both Nritya Visharad and Nrutya Pratibha, she has developed a unique style that beautifully blends sensuous grace with rhythmic precision. Her dance reflects a deep command over laya and taal, infused with purity and expression. Munmun has been an integral part of Gunjan Dance Academy and has performed at prestigious dance festivals such as the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Mukteswar Festival, and the International Odissi Dance Festival, among others. With over 18 years of training and a decade of stage experience as a soloist, she has established herself as a distinct presence in the field of Odissi. She currently teaches Odissi to young aspirants and provides free training to underprivileged children. Beyond performance, she actively conducts workshops and lecture-demonstrations at esteemed institutions such as National Law University Odisha, Sri Sri University, and Bharatiya Vigyan Bhawan.
