Meera Rawat is a Kathak dancer with a specialization in Lucknow gharana of Kathak. She has completed her training in Kathak from the National Institute of Kathak Kendra, Constituent Unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi under the guidance of Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Pandit Krishan Mohan Mishra Maharaj, son of Padma Shri & Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee late Pandit Shambhu Maharaj. For the last 15 years, she has been completely associated with the field of Kathak. She has performed in many prestigious festivals in India and abroad. Besides this, she has also performed in many festivals under the Ministry of culture & Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) overseas. She has worked with many renowned Kathak artistes & different classical artistes. Some of the prominent ones are Pt. Krishan Mohan Mishra Maharaj, Padmashri Shovana Narayan, Pandita Geetanjali Lal, Pt. Rajendra Gangani, Aruna Mohanty, Maitreyee Pahari, Santosh Nair and Gauri Diwakar among others. She has also worked with Kathak Kendra, a Constituent Unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi as a repertory artiste. Presently she is working at Padmashri Shovana Narayan's Asawari Kathak School as a Kathak Teacher. She has done Prabhakar degree from Prayag University, Allahabad. Meera has performed the role of SITA in Ramayana 2020 organized by Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi.
