Kajal Bawa is a young Bharatanatyam dancer who has done her training in Bharatanatyam with the Late Smt. Jamuna Krishnan and is currently doing her advanced training under Smt. Arupa Lahiry. After graduating from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women and pursuing Masters in History from University of Delhi, Kajal is now working as a Training Associate at Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, Ministry of Culture. Kajal sees dance as an experience that goes beyond movement and has important roots in art, culture and society. Through her passion for dance and research, she hopes to bridge the gap between art and academia.
