Kailash Patra is trained in Chhau Dance - a semi-classical dance form with Indian and Martial traditions. He completed his graduation from Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar (Odisha). He has been a part of several prestigious folk dance festivals such as the 24th State Youth Festival event of Folk Dance 2018, the 25th State Youth Festival encourage of Folk Dance, Lokakala Mahotsav 2018, National Integrated Camp organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Delhi 2020. He also received his certification from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, New Delhi in the same.
