Himmat Singh Negi is a Theatre expert with extensive experience of acting as well as direction. He has done a Theatre Appreciation Course from National School of Drama (N.S.D.) 2011 and currently teaches as well as performs across the country. His extensive experience as a Theatre expert includes his work in TIE Company of National School of Drama. His varied teaching experience includes his work as a Theatre and performing arts resource person for B.El.Ed program in Aditi Mahavidyalay, University of Delhi, 2019, Theatre teacher in Laxman Public School, Gyan Bharti School, Andhra School, Peagle edu solution, Dev Samaj Modern School, Khalsa College, Lady Irwin College, Sri Venkateshwara College and ARSD College as well as workshops for NDMC and Sahitya Kala Parishad. He has also participated as a Theater expert and member of committee in NCERT Autism Workshop. He has worked with Theater Groups Abhinav Bharti Rangbhoomi, CDS, Abhigyan and Anuraagna. He has participated in a course on Training in Natyashastra and Sanskrit Theatre from the Kendriya Sanskrit Vishwa Vidhyalaya. His direction work includes plays that he has directed for prestigious organisations such as Sahitya Kala Parishad, Dainik Jagran and many other educational institutions. As an actor he has given more than 100 performances in plays and his performances in leading roles include plays such as Dhruvswaamini, Kathaa Ek Kans Ki, Godaan, Maadhvi, Chainpur Ki Daastaan, Do Murdon Ke Liye Guldastaa, Raavan Leela, Urgent Meeting, Nautanki Raja, Court Martial, Mayaram Ki Maaya, Khalid Ki Khala, Samrat Ashok, Konark, Adhe Adhoore and many more. Himmat has also acted in the popular TV serial Mere Sai on Sony Television and has featured as an actor in various promos and shows. He has also written many street plays and One Act plays. He has received various awards for his work in Theatre.
