Dinabandhu Dalai is a distinguished Odissi classical dancer renowned for his exquisite performances and extensive training in the art form. His journey into the realm of dance began with the traditional Gotipua style, under the tutelage of eminent masters such as Guru Rajkishor Dalai, Guru Birabar Sahoo, and Guru Lachman Das. Subsequently, He honed his skills at the Orissa Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar, where he received formal training in Odissi Dance from Guru Bichitranand Swain, under the direct supervision of Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. Dinabandhu holds a Master of Music degree from Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, where he was guided by Dr. Mrs. B.K. Chaudhary and Mrs. Snehaprabha Samantaray. His academic achievements include completing Bisarad Pratham from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, and Sangeet Bisarad from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. He has showcased his talent through numerous solo and group performances across India and various countries worldwide, including Belgium, Mexico, South Africa, Panama, and Mauritius. He has performed in various prestigious dance festivals such as Puri Beach Festival, Utkal Divas Program, and many more. In 2011, he was part of an ICCR contingent performing alongside Dr. Sonal Mansingh in Panama City, Central America. He has been honored with scholarships from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (ICCR), Government of India. His talent has been acknowledged through numerous prizes at state, national, and international dance competitions. He continues to inspire audiences worldwide with his passion, artistry, and dedication to the rich cultural heritage of Odissi dance.
