Darshan S. began learning Bharatnatyam from a very early age under the tutelage of Guru smt. Lakshmi N murthy and learnt Tanjore style of Bharatnatyam from Sri. Srinivasan Rajendran in Bangalore. He is currently learning under Guru Dr.C.V Chandrashekar in Chennai, a renowned performer and a guru. Darshan has become very devoted to the art of classical dance and is pursuing it as his profession. Darshan is also a B grade Doordarshan artist. Though he is graduate in Biotechonology from M. S. Ramaiah college, due to his serious passion towards art he also completed graduation in choreography under the able guidence of Guru Dr. Maya Rao at Natya institute of Kathak and Choreography, Bangalore. He has participated in many cultural festivals of India including Suvarna Karnataka - 2008, Navarathri Utsav -2010 in Sri Puram, Vellore, Jalapathotsava - 2011, Bangalore, Ganesh Utsav - 2012, Yuva Dasara -2013, Alvas Festival - 2013, Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri 2013 and 2015. Darshan has Performed in various places including Rishikesh, Delhi, Mumbai, Manipur, Mathura, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, Vellore, Kotilingeshwar, Dharwad, Mysore, Mangalore and Honavara among others. He has presented his solo recitals at many prestigious festivals such as Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai 2018, Natrajostava 2014, National Youth Dance festival Ellur, Articulate festival, Mysore, Navarathri Mandapam, Thrivuanathapuram, Kerala, Nrityantaranga Puttur 2016, Nritya Vaibhava, Nritya Nirantara, Alva's Nudisiri 2016, Natya Ninadha 2016, Sankramana 2017, 50th year celebration of Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalorea and Nritya Jyothi, Kadambhari festival 2017. He has also performed in the Endowment programme at the Indian Institute of World Culture, Bangalore. He is also experienced in performing Yakshagana, Kathak and Martial arts. Darshan also performs for many other dance companies under many gurus from Bangalore including Abhinava dance company headed by guru Nirupama Rajendra and Prasiddha foundation headed by guru Pratibha Prahalad New Delhi. Darshan has been awarded for his excellence in the field of solo dance. Jnanasri from Jnana Mandara Academy, Bangalore, Radha Madhava Prathibhapurskara from Nava Natya Sangama, Bangalore, Nritya Koumidhi -2013 by National Youth Dance festival, Ellur A.P. Along with dance he also practises Yoga and has completed his certificate course in Astanga Yoga at S-vyasa. He has attended many dance workshops and mime workshop and has participated in many ballets and also participated in programmes conducted by the performing arts department of Bangalore University. He also presented a paper presentation on Bio-Diversity of Vasthrabaranam and Nrutha in Bharathanatyam from Tamil Nadu, Kathakali from Kerala and Yakshagana from Karnataka, and Maintaining Good Health Through Dance - Dance Therapy at the first Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC) held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in December 2010 under the guidance of Dr. Geetha Vishvanath, Bangalore.
