Binayak Samal is a professionally trained Odissi and Gotipua dancer with over a decade of rigorous training and performance experience. He began his journey in Gotipua dance, training for eight years at Natyambar Gotipua, Dimirisena, Puri, under Guru Srinivas Patnaik and Guru Laxmidhar Swain. He later pursued formal training in Odissi at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya under the guidance of eminent gurus, including Guru Nabakishor Mishra and Guru Manoranjan Pradhan, and further honed his skills at Orissa Dance Academy under the mentorship of Padmashree Guru Aruna Mohanty and Guru Pabitra Kumar Pradhan. A recipient of the Junior Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, he has showcased his talent across major dance festivals in India and abroad, including Dhauli Mahotsav, NCPA Mumbai, Siripur Nrutya Mohotsav, and Sindhu Dance Festival. Currently, he serves as a teacher and performer at Orissa Dance Academy, continuing his dedication to the art of Odissi.
