Sri Atanu Das is a Bharatanatyam performer from Kolkata. He is a Graded Bharatanatyam artist of Kolkata Doordarshan. He started learning dance at the age of 3 years under the guidance of Smt Kalpana Mallick (Gold Medalist in Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Kathakali dance). He has completed his Master's Degree in Bharatanatyam from Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata securing First class in the Department of Dance with Gold Medal. He also completed his senior diploma Sangeet visarad and Sangeet Bhaskar from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. His talent has awarded him with many titles such as Natyaravalli Talent Award (Visakhapatnam), Kalajyoti Award (Kolkata), and Nritya Shree Samman (Astika) 2022 among others. Atanu Das has given many solo dance performances. He has performed at Articulate Festival, Mysore (2017), Nalanda Nrityotsav Mumbai (2018), Nilanjali Dance Festival, Nileshwar (2019), Upasana Dance Festival, Kolkata (2022), Natyasravanthi Series Monthly Concert, and Vijayawada (2020) among others. Atanu Das has also been learning from Smt. Lavanya Ananth and Shijith-Parvathy Nambiar for the last few years. He has also performed in International Dance Performances in 10th K2K Indo-Cultural Meet in China, 2014 and conducted workshops in Minzu University, China. Sangeet Rasa Prabha 2018 in Singapore and International Global Festival organized by Hindustan Art and Music Society in Thailand 2019. Currently, He is running his own dance academy Nrutyambalam. His students are also dedicated and passionate dancers and performers, most of them are recipients of CCRT Junior scholarship from Ministry Of Culture, New Delhi.
