Aparajita Sarma as an artiste has been practicing and performing Bhartanatyam since 25 years under the guidance of Guru Kanaka Sudhakar in Delhi. In her dance journey with merits such as scholarships from CCRT and Sahitya Kala Parishad, Doordarshan Grade, Alankar from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya , MA in Bharatanatyam from Khairagarh University and various titles bestowed by different organizations, she has performed extensively in India's many cultural platforms and has also traveled abroad with her art form. Her experiences include teaching and performing in Bali, Indonesia under ICCR for over a year. Apart from actively working in productions and choreograpies with her Guru, her own productions have been faith (a lock down production for the camera), Mrigtrishna (chasing desires) and Kashmakash (Kaikeyi's Dilemma). Some of Aparajita's performances have been in Delhi International Arts Festival, Abu International Festival, International Ladakh Festival, Simariya Festival Patna, Sangeet Natak Akademi Festival Dehradun, Spic Macay (performance and workshop in Kota), International Bali Festival, Festival of India Venezuela, Festival by the Nile Egypt, Hindu Temple Performance Edinburgh and many more. Aparajita's forte lies in thinking outside the margam with the language she best knows, Bharatanatyam. And to add to her movement vocabulary she has explored contemporary theatre as well.
