Alok Kumar Mohanty is a dedicated Odissi dancer and multidisciplinary performing artist with a deep passion for Indian classical arts and culture. He began
his formal training under the esteemed guidance of Guru Barnalee Sarkar at The Shubham School of Performing Arts, Bengaluru, where he has developed a strong foundation in the technique, grace, and expressive traditions of Odissi. He is currently pursuing his Odissi studies through Pracheen Kala Kendra, further strengthening his knowledge of the classical art form. As an active member of The Shubham Dance Ensemble, he has performed in numerous prestigious solo and group presentations across India. His notable performances include the ICCR Friday Cultural Programmes in Bengaluru, Karnataka Utsav by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Mahashivratri celebrations, Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durgotsav, and cultural events organized by leading institutions. He has also been featured in acclaimed dance productions such as Pareshti, Vibhasma, Punyamaati, Malhar-Yatra, and Akhanda Arpan, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the classical tradition. Alongside his performances, Alok actively assists in training junior students, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the rich heritage of Odissi dance. Through his disciplined practice, artistic excellence, and commitment to continuous learning, he continues to establish himself as a promising Odissi artist.
